• The Original ProgramsDRE-3000 runs the DRE-2000's own reverb and echo programs. Checked against recordings of original units: the early reflections and the decay in every octave band match.
• Both Software Versionsv1, the original software, and v2, the update the DRE-2000A came with. The two sound different in every reverb mode.
• Four Reverbs, Two Echoes, Two DelaysReverb A builds from sparse early echoes, B is dense from the start, C and D are wide in stereo. The echoes and delays play T1 in the centre, or T1 on the left and T2 on the right, each with its own repeats.
• Early Reflection, Pre-Delay And Sub ReverbEach with its own level and delay, up to 255 ms: a distinct echo before the reverb, the reverb's start, and a second start that thickens the tail.
• Reverb Time With Two Decay Ranges0.0 to 9.9 s, with the low frequencies decaying x0.5 to x2.0 and the highs x0.25 to x1.0 of it.
• Gliding Delay TimesChange a delay while audio plays and it glides to the new time, bending the pitch like the original.
• Push It Until It Goes NutsThe programs run in 16-bit whole-number maths with no safety brake. Once the HEADROOM meter's 0 dB LED is reached the reverb loops overflow: first dubstep-like wobbles, when louder white and dark noise. Fun for sound design.
• Low Cut And High CutFour settings each, modeled on the original's output stage, in every mode.
• The Remote As The PanelThe original remote's keys, LED displays and HEADROOM meter. The keys pick what a display shows; drag the display to set it. What a mode does not use is greyed out.
• 53 Factory PresetsThe factory programs of both software versions, plus 37 settings recreated from recordings of original units: five halls, and rooms, halls and snare reverbs from 0.3 to 9.8 s. Each also comes as a send version with Mix at 100%.
• Hint BarHovering over any control shows a one-line description at the bottom of the panel. The i icon turns it on and off.
